1. READ what gave Craig fresh purpose
“I work for a nonprofit bike shop and serve our customers as both a mechanic and a chaplain. The other day, I was helping a guy repair his bike, and he told me he was going to sell it. I replied, “This is a really nice bike. Why do you want to sell it?” He explained he needed to pay some bills before he went back to prison. We talked some more and I asked if I could pray for him. Then I told him to come back when he gets released so I can help him get a new bike.”
2. REFLECT on what gives you fresh purpose
Who can you be a “chaplain” to today - to listen, pray, or help?

4. PRAY God’s purpose-filled words over your day!
Father, may your will be done! You said in your word that we should “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way we will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2). As you put people in our path today, may we listen to them well and offer to pray with them and serve their need. Amen.
5. Before you go…ENJOY this fun fact about chaplains!
The word “chaplain” has an interesting back story. A young Roman soldier known as St. Martin of Tours cut his cloak in half to give to a shivering beggar. The cloak became a relic, and those who cared for it were called "capellani" – the Latin root word for the English word “chaplains.”
