1. READ how Alex experienced deliverance

“I feel that God has been working on healing my own traumas of rejection. And also on controlling my lust and desires that tend to creep up and fill my head and heart with ideas, like it’s OK to indulge in corrupted thoughts that make me think that I am Gods gift to women. God showed me that because He has given me the Holy Spirit, my sin of lust is no longer a bondage for me, but now a choice. Which also means that I can choose to trust him to get out of my nasty and wrong thinking when it comes to others outside my wife.”

2. REFLECT on your need for deliverance

What sin and darkness in your life could be a choice instead of a bondage? What would it feel like to trust God in this area and be set free?

3. LISTEN to "Chain Breaker” sung by Dion Trevor Marweiñ and Clarence Wanrap

Powerful song about breaking the chains of bondage in our lives

4. PRAY God’s words of deliverance over your life

Father, deliver us from evil. You said in your Word that “it is for freedom that you have set us free. And I must stand firm, then, and not let myself be burdened again by the control of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1). My sin is a choice. Help me to trust you and stand firm in you. Change how I think and live. I want to walk and live freely in your presence. Amen.

5. Before you go….a true story about deliverance from bondage

John Newton was a former slave ship captain whose life was transformed after surviving a violent storm at sea. He turned from a life of sin to faith in Jesus, became a minister, and wrote the famous hymn Amazing Grace as a testimony of God's mercy and forgiveness, breaking the chains of his past.
