Dan

1. READ about Dan’s gratitude for “small” things

“A few small things that God provided for me in the past 24 hours that gave me big joy or made me smile: Safe driving yesterday for almost 8 hours, avoiding an opossum scuttling across the highway as I was going 80 miles per hour (at 10:30pm!), and for the technology to listen to podcasts while driving like The Good Pope podcast with John Dickson.”

2. REFLECT on your own gratitude for God’s provision in your life

What are a few small things God provided in the past 24 hours that gave you big joy and made you smile?

3. Listen to "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow” arranged by Dan Musselman

4. PRAY God’s provision-filled words over your life

Father, give us this day our “daily bread” of safety and protection from danger. In your Word you promise that “You will keep watch over us as we come and go, both now and forever.” (Psalm 121:7–8). Thank you for keeping us safe while we drive and go about our days. Thank you for technology and medical advances and for all who give their lives to keep us safe. Amen.

5. And speaking of opossums…a fun fact before you go!

Opossums will involuntarily “play dead” if they are threatened. This can last for minutes or hours, complete with drooling and a foul odor so that they are unappetizing to potential predators. Opossums remain conscious while they are “playing dead” - monitoring their surroundings and waiting for the threat to pass so that they can then "come back to life" and move to safety.
