"A sin I have seen God's light shine through is sexual addiction. One of the main ways I've seen God break through in my own journey and the journey of other men is by healing of things that have wounded us in the past. Sexual addiction is usually a symptom and a coping mechanism of sorts, where we don't know what to do with certain emotions that come up when our wounds are triggered. And so we turn to pornography. But God has healing hands that I've seen him use to knit broken souls back together. It is really cool to watch and and experience that healing.”

Father, deliver us from evil. You said in your Word that “You have seen our ways, but you will heal us. You will guide us and restore comfort to us , creating praise on our lips.” (Isaiah 57:18-19) You see it all Lord - our failures, our coping, our wounds. And you still offer us healing and forgiveness and deliverance. Set us free Lord. Amen.

Studies have shown that repeated exposure to pornography rewires our brain's reward system, leading to compulsive behavior. That’s the bad news. The good news is that God made our brain with a remarkable ability to heal and rewire itself through prayer, abstinence, and healthy habits.
