1. READ What Gives Gail Fresh Perspective

“I was filled with awe as I learned about how God created our gut and it’s impact on our whole body - including our brain. I learned that the gut is essentially an entire ecosystem in itself. That is simply incredible to me, how that all works, and stays in balance! When things in the gut aren’t in balance, people have health issues – including depression, as is being currently studied. It was absolutely fascinating to me how complex that all is. To think that what we eat and our entire digestive system impacts our entire body, brain included, is amazing!”

2. REFLECT On What Gives You Fresh Perspective

What fascinates you about the human body and God how designed it to work?

3. LISTEN to “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made” sung by Oasis Church (Matt Redman cover)

4. PRAY God’s Perspective-Filled Words Over Your Day

Father, hallowed be your name! My soul cries out with the psalm writer that “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made! Your works are wonderful! I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14) It’s incredible to me how you designed our bodies! It’s so complex and yet everything works together and stays in balance. You are truly amazing God! Amen.

5. Speaking of our gut - enjoy this fun fact before you go!

In the 1980s, scientist Barry Marshall believed that stomach ulcers were caused by bacteria - not stress or spicy food like everyone thought. To prove it, he did something wild: he drank a cup of gut bacteria and gave himself an ulcer—on purpose! Then he cured it with antibiotics. He later won a Nobel Prize for this stomach-turning experiment.
