1. READ what gives Bob fresh purpose
“As a police officer, I’ve had many opportunities to encourage people in times of crisis. A woman who had made some bad decisions told me that God could never love her after everything she had done. I noticed a Bible in her living room, opened it to John 3:16, took out my pen, scratched out “the world” and replaced it with her name. Now it read: “For God so loved HER that He gave his only Son”. Initially she was mortified that I would do that. But as that thought sank in, she began to cry. And we prayed together.”
2. REFLECT on what gives you fresh purpose
Is there anyone in your life that might doubt God’s love for them? How can you encourage them?

4. PRAY God’s purpose-filled words over your day!
Father, may your will be done - in me and through me. Give me opportunities to encourage others as Bob did with the life-changing truth in John 3:16 that you didn’t just love the world, you loved each person - by name. And that you loved each person so much that you gave your only Son. So that whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but will have eternal life. Here am I Lord. Send me. Amen.
5. Before you go - a fun fact about John 3:16
Football player Tim Tebow made John 3:16 go viral — twice! In 2009, Tim Tebow wrote “John 3:16” under his eyes during a national championship game. The verse became the #1 Google search with over 90 million searches in 24 hours. Exactly 3 years later to the day, he passed for 316 yards in a playoff game — prompting another viral spike dubbed “the 3:16 game.”
